Alexander First School and Foundation Stage is a community school, which receives Local Authority funding. It is situated on the west side of Windsor looking out on to rural surroundings. The school is classified as small with approximately one hundred and twenty pupils at present.
All staff are dedicated to ensuring pupils make progress in their learning whatever their starting point and have high expectations of them. We have a nurturing approach to learning across the school, so that all children feel valued and are supported to develop their self-esteem and confidence.
Overall, the school has the capacity to accommodate 120 pupils.
The authority tries to ensure that we admit 24 - 30 children into our first class each year.
Visits to the School/Nursery
We would love to show you round our school. Please telephone (01753 852894) or call in to make an appointment for your visit.
Both the Foundation Stage and the local authority have an agreed set of criteria for allocating places. These can be found in our Admissions Policy and on the RBWM website.
Sometimes Foundation Stage vacancies become available mid-term and the Foundation teachers & Head teacher manage this scenario with the Admissions Committee of the Governing Body when necessary.
Children entering FS2 (Reception) will be accepted in September for the school year. Parents can defer a place until the child is statutory school age. Apply online for first time admission into school (open until January 15th 23:59 2021). - https://www3.rbwm.gov.uk/info/200115/education_and_learning/791/school_admissions
